6-Week Course FAQ
Q: Why is it so hard to get into a course and do you have any tips on registration?
A: Due to the nature of our small studio and class sizes of only 10 people, there are only so many spots. We do not give priority to returning students because we want to allow room for new people to have the opportunity to take classes. Our registration is completely first come first serve. With such a high demand for classes, spots sell out within seconds. **Tips on registering** Make an account with Classly, double check the course descriptions, and click Register at exactly 8am. Then cross your fingers and toes!
Q: If I need to miss a class, can I make it up?
A: For any Intro Courses, we do not recommend missing any classes as each week leads to the next. Students will generally fall behind if there are missed classes, so be sure to check your calendar ahead of time! If you need to make up a class, you may sit in on another class (same type of class, ie. Intro to the Wheel) that same week. Same type classes follow the same schedule week to week. If you can’t make up a class that falls within that same week, there are no make ups.If you miss Week 6 for glazing and cannot attend a make up class, students will have to schedule a 1hour private lesson on glazing in order to finish your work.
Q: During my 6-Week Course, can I access the studio outside of class time?
A: We recommend that you do! During your course, you have access to Open Studios, Tuesday-Sunday 11am-6pm.
Q: Can I bring my friends to Open Studios?
A: For safety and occupancy regulations, we do not allow students to bring guests.
Q: What should I wear to class?
A: Come prepared to get messy! We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and close toed shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit dirty. Clay and glaze does wash out, but it's best to keep your fave outfit at home.
Q: Do I need to bring my own tools?
A: We gotchu! We have everything here for you to use to have a good time!
Q: Can I bring my dog to the studio?
A: We love our furry friends, but for the safety of everyone, only staff and members can bring approved dogs.
