6-Week Courses

For 6 consecutive weeks, you will meet once a week on the day of the week you register for. Please see our schedule below for the upcoming course. While enrolled, students will have access to Open Studios Tuesday-Sunday 11am-6pm to practice practice practice!

Intro to the Wheel - $300

During this course you'll learn the ceramic process from start to finish. Your instructor will teach you how to throw on the wheel, basic trimming techniques, and glaze application. This course is great for beginners with no experience.

Intermediate Wheel - $300

Already take the wheel for a spin and want to refine your throwing, trimming and glazing skills?! Get right back on the wheel and start where you left off. This course is great for individuals who have taken a minimum of two intro courses at Merritt Ceramics or another ceramic studio.

Course includes: clay & firing | tools & materials | glazes | open studio hours

Intro to Handbuilding - $300

Clay creation without the wheel. Learn the tools of the trade and all the insider secrets to sculpt almost anything. During this course you will learn the basics of sculpting clay with techniques like coil and slab building. This course is especially great for those who love to decorate and embellish their work and will learn all about surface and texture design!

Course Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you need to cancel your course, please contact us at least 7 days prior to the first class to receive a refund minus a $20 re-booking fee. After that time there are no refunds. Any rescheduling at any time, if available, will cost $15.

One-Time Classes Cancellation & Refund Policy

Private Lessons & Events

We are scheduling 2hr Private Lessons/Events from Tuesday-Sunday with start times between 11am-3pm. To schedule please email us!

For parties of 1-3 people = $140 per person

4-7 people = $125 per person

8+people = $110 per person

All supplies, materials, and firing included.

Show your instructor some extra love. Tips are encouraged.

*There will be a 20% gratuity added to parties of 6 or more.
