Meet our 2025 - 2026 Artist in Residence
Our Artist in Residence program gives emerging ceramic artists membership, mentorship, resources, and community to develop their work. Meet our 2025-2026 residents, Evelyn Rodas and Jie Yang. Take a look at what they’ve been exploring during their time at Merritt.

Evelyn Rodas
My teapots are an exploration of both functionality and creative expression. I have enjoyed developing these skills and delight in making unconventional and playful pieces.
-
Jie Yang
I am a curious being who loves to daydream. This piece is my three-dimensional interpretation of The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch, a fellow daydreamer from the late Middle Ages.
