Clay Camp for Kids!

A week long of clay exploration for ages 8-12! Camp runs for one week from Monday through Friday. Camp is geared around handbuilding techniques with projects that encourage using one's imagination and creativity. Below are the dates for two different sessions.

Session 1: July 10th - July 14th, 10am-12pm each day.

Session 2: July 17th - July 21st, 10am-12pm each day.

Session Schedule:

Day 1 - Monster Pots. Using your imagination to create your own mythical creature.

Day 2 - Food for fun! Handbuilding your favorite food with its corresponding vessel.

Day 3 - Masks. Expression through mask decorating with underglazes and surface texture.

Day 4 - Wild Animals. Structural handbuilding.

Day 5 - Wheelin around. Take the wheel for a spin and learn how to use the pottery wheel. 

Level: All levels. Ages 8-12. 

Camp Includes: All supplies and materials. Finished work will be ready for pick up approx. 3 weeks from the start of camp.

Note: Violence or disrespectful behavior will lead to suspension from class without a refund. 

Course Cancellation & Refund Policy: If you need to cancel your course, you must email info@merrittceramics.com 7 days in advance to receive a refund minus a $10 booking fee. After that time there is no refund or rescheduling. Any rescheduling at any time, if available, will cost $10.
